Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress' footmarch resumes in Haryana on Day 115th

New Delhi: The Congress’ mass outreach programme called ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ took a break on Wednesday and it will continue on Thursday again. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-led foot march is currently in Madhya Pradesh after finishing its Maharashtra leg on November 20.

A day earlier, Congress’ former chief Rahul Gandhi along with his supporters reached at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain to seek blessings.

In another significant event during the ‘padyatra’ in Madhya Pradesh, Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra participated in the rally along with her son Raihan Vadra.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanyakumari, entered Madhya Pradesh on November 23. It will pass through 12 states, culminating in Jammu and Kashmir – spanning a distance of nearly 3,500 Km over the course of about 150 days.

Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi had started the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on September 7 which aimed to revive the grand-old party across the nation.

2020 Political Drama in Madhya Pradesh

Reffering to a politcal brawl in Madhya Pradesh in 2020, Gandhi said the saffron party bought 20- 25 corrupt leaders to make their government in the state.

In March 2020, Congress leader Kamal Nath announced his resignation few hours ahead of the crucial floor test in the Assembly, ending his term of 15 months as the Chief Minister of the state.

The floor test became mandatory after 20 MLAs of the grand-old party resigned after a two-weeks of drama.
