New Delhi: One month has been completed of the five-month-long Bharat Jodi Yatra of former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. On 7th September, Rahul Gandhi started this journey from Kanyakumari which is now in Karnataka. During this, he has covered a distance 698 km in 29 days. Rahul Gandhi will visit the Adichunchagiri Giri Math, a monastery of the Walkalinga community, today.
Sonia Gandhi joined the Yatra
Sonia Gandhi also joined this yatra on Thursday and joined the party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Mandya district of Karnataka. She walked for about an hour and was joined by senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge, who is one of the top contenders for the post of Congress President. At the same time, former CM Siddaramaiah also joined Rahul Gandhi.

Sonia participated in a party program after a long time
Sonia Gandhi has not participated in any public program of the party for a long time. Expressing happiness over party President Sonia Gandhi’s participation in Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has said that this will further strengthen the yatra and will boost the enthusiasm of the workers.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted, “Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra today. The whole country will be united in one thread, will move forward strongly.”

Yatra has now reached Karnataka
It is noteworthy that this journey, which started from Kanyakumari on 7th September, has now reached Karnataka via Kerala. Rahul Gandhi has been continuously marching on foot after starting his yatra from Kanyakumari last month. Passing through Kerala, it entered Gundlupet in Karnataka on 30 September.
