Bharat Jodo Yatra: People greet Rahul Gandhi with potraits, Tricolor amid chilling weather
Bharat Jodo Yatra: Despite the shivery weather, people in Uttar Pradesh joined the Congress-led 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in a huge number on Thursday, raising slogans for party's former chief Rahul Gandhi.
The 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' started from Elam village in Shamli in the state this morning which will end in the Sanauli Khurd in Panipat of Haryana, ending the UP leg. Then the fotmarch will enter Punjab.
Meanwhile, many Congress supporters joined the yatra to welcome Rahul Gandhi. The supporters also held Rahul Gandhi's portraits and effigy.
On Wednesday, the Congress' roadshow resumed from Mavikala village in Baghpat District of Uttar Pradesh. During the yatra, comedian Rajeev Nigam, Indian Shooter Prakashi Tomar and Congress member and Actor Kamya Punjabi also joined and walked alongside Rahul Gandhi.
The footmarch resumed on Tuesday from Kashmiri Gate in Delhi after a nine-days long break. The yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh today.
Bharat Jodo Yatra: Kanyakumari To Kashmir
The Bharat Jodo Yatra started on September 7 last year from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu which will end in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. Beside Tamil Nadu, the yatra has covered several states including Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
On January 3, the Congress’ footmarch will resume after a 9-day long break in Delhi. On Tuesday, the yatra will start in Uttar Pradesh.
