Immediate Police Response
The hotel staff, upon receiving the email, immediately alerted their superiors, who then contacted the police. A team from the jurisdictional High Grounds police station, along with a bomb disposal squad and anti-sabotage unit, was dispatched to the scene to secure the area.

Threat Deemed a Hoax
After a thorough search, the police declared the threat to be false. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Shekhar H Tekkannavar, confirmed, “Our bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and anti-sabotage check (ASC) team inspected the premises and determined it was a hoax.”
Investigation Launched
The police are now investigating the origin of the hoax email and have taken a formal complaint to trace the individuals responsible.
