In a devastating accident early Tuesday morning, a speeding car plunged off the Yeshwanthpur flyover in Bengaluru, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old software engineer from Tamil Nadu. The victim, S. Shabarish, had come to Bengaluru to collect his U.S. visa and was planning to travel to America soon.
The Incident Details And Immediate Impact
The accident occurred at around 3:45 a.m. when Shabarish and his friends were heading towards Tumakuru. The driver, Mithun Chakravarthy, lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve on the flyover. Anushree was treated at a nearby private hospital, while Chakravarthy, Ram, and another injured passenger were taken to Manipal Hospital. This Yeshwanthpur flyover has a history of accidents. In December 2009, a vehicle from a Central Armed Reserve convoy, part of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s convoy, overturned at the same location, injuring two policemen.
