Destiny can sometimes be a cruel mistress leading to unprecedented outcomes that are hard to fathom. In a recent incident a similar turn of events took place when a thief robbed a house and ran away with cash as if he was free. But as he fled the house and tried to evade the police, he landed in a predicament that he would not have thought of even in his wildest dreams.
While trying to run away from the scene without alarming any of the bystanders the thief ended up running into the clutches of four other thieves. And was hence mugged by them. These robbers were standing by the cemetery as reported by TOI.
The 30 year old robber, Ishay Raj, a repeat offender from Amruthalli had forced his way into a house in Mandur and stole 330 grams of gold and Rs 25000.
How Bengaluru Thief Karma Got the better of him
A TOI report suggested that the thief arrived at the house on a stolen scooter and parked it near a cemetery before trying to break his way into the house. He soon stole cash and Gold and escaped the house. When he came back to his scooter he was confronted by another group of robbers.
The four men searched him, found cash and gold on him and took everything he had, except Rs 3000, a possible ‘finder’s fee’.
Robbers resolute attempt not to return home empty handed
The Robber just could not believe what happened to him and hence right after being robbed he targeted a few other houses and broke into them as well. From here he stole another 120 grams of gold and Rs 1.5 lakh.
Two days later, the home owners filed a complaint against the robbers. The pixie checked the CCTV footage extensively and identified RAJ. Later the man was arrested and the police were able to find 110 grams of gold and close to Rs 28,000 on him. The police soon nabbed him last month when he had ribbed the houses.
The Police after checking other CCTV footage also saw the four other youths on scooters around that time, but since then only one of them has been traced.
