In a gruesome incident, a man killed his wife over suspicion of her infidelity in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. The incident reportedly occurred in the Electronic City area of the state capital. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old K Sharda.
Accused slits wife’s throat with knife
According to a PTI report, the accused, 43-year-old Krishnappa, is a daily wage labourer in Bagepalli of Chikballapur district. Krishnappa slit her throat with a knife when Sharda was returning home from her work. Sharda fell on the road and died on the spot.
Senior police officer visited crime spot
After the incident, Krishnappa tried to flee the crime scene, but locals did not let him leave until the police arrived. A senior police official visited the crime scene.
The police have registered an FIR into the matter, and a probe has been launched.
Woman Sexually assaulted in Bengaluru
On April 2, A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by two men in Bengaluru, near Mahadevpur area , said an official on Thursday.
Taking swift action, the Bengaluru Police arrested the accused for allegedly sexually assaulting the woman while she was going to a hotel for food with her brother.
According to the police, the incident occurred on the outskirts of Mahadevpur police station limits of outer ring road, near Laurie Memorial School when two auto rickshaw drivers attacked the brother of the lady and allegedly raped her.
Police register case
Both the accused have been arrested by the police and a case has been registered at the Mahadevpur police station.
“On 02/04/2025 at 1.30 am, a woman and her brother were going to a hotel for lunch, on the outskirts of Mahadevpur police station limits of outer ring road, near Laurie Memorial School, Bengaluru when two auto rickshaw drivers attacked the brother of the lady and allegedly raped lady. Both accused are been arrested by the police on the night rounds, A case has been registered at Mahadevpur police station and further investigation has been carried out,” said Shivakumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield Division, said.
