Bengaluru: A man in his late 40s killed his 34-year-old wife, Syeda Fazil Fatima on Friday in Chamarajpet, Bengaluru. The suspect, Tabrez Pasha, who is currently evading being arrested, recorded a video in which he threatened his mother-in-law and other family members before posting it on Facebook. In the video, he warned against reporting the incident to the police.
Police reports reveal that Pasha, who lived in Siddapura in south Bengaluru, had a criminal record that included a previous arrest for robbery. His wife, a teacher at a private school, had been staying with her mother at MD Block due to ongoing disputes with Pasha. The couple had two school-aged children.

On the morning of the incident, Pasha entered his mother-in-law’s house while Fatima was alone, as their children were at school and her mother was out at the market. In a violent outburst, Pasha repeatedly stabbed Fatima. Following the attack, he recorded a video threatening his family and then fled the scene.
The couple, married for nine years, had experienced a troubled relationship due to Pasha’s unemployment and past criminal activities, including involvement with illegal drugs. Frequent family disputes occurred, with Pasha making several attempts to reconcile, all of which Fatima declined. Neighbors found the murder and notified the police. Authorities from Chamarajpet have investigated the scene and are currently searching for Pasha, who is still on the run.
