A section of the Bengaluru-Chennai expressway is open to the public. The length of the route is 71-km. Currently, the route charges zero toll fee.
This section is a part of the expressway which connects Bengaluru to Chennai and vice-versa. The total length of the expressway is 260 km.
Benefits From The Project
The expressway will enhance connectivity. Similarly, the 71-km long section of the expressway enhances the connectivity. It cuts travel time. Apart from this, it reduces the congestion on streets.
As per media reports the Bengaluru-Chennai expressway will reduce the travel time from 6 hours to 3 hours. The expressway will connect Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. The route supports the speed limit of 120 km/h. The expressway will make the journey comfortable for the commuters.

Three Sections Of Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway
- The first part is from Hoskote to Malur. The length of the route is 27.1 km.
- The second section is from Malur To Bangarpet. The length for the same is 27.1 km.
- The final section of the expressway is from Bangarpet To Bethamangala. The length of this section is 17.5-km.
About Ganga Expressway
The Ganga Expressway is expected to be functional by November 2025. Till now 60% of the work has been done on the route. The remaining 40% of the work is underway. The length of this expressway is 594-km. The expressway connects eastern and western UP.
