Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Lashes Out At Modi Govt Over Pahalgam Attack, Says, ‘Central Govt Should Be More Powerful, They Were A Total Failure’; BJP Hits Back

Mamata Banerjee said, "Why did security breaches occur? Not a single Police personnel was deployed. I said Central government should be more powerful, they were a total failure."

While speaking on the Pahalgam terrorist attack in the state assembly, Mamata Banerjee said, “Why did security breaches occur? Not a single Police personnel was deployed. I demand that arrest the terrorists first…For the country’s security, there is a need to tighten BSF and other agencies. I said Central government should be more powerful, they were a total failure.”

Mamata Banerjee further said on resolution on Operation Sindoor, “I again raise a question about the plot of Pulwama (terrorist attack).”

Reacting to Mamata Banerjee’s statement on Pulwama attack, State LoP and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari said, “The manner in which she spoke was anti-national, it weakens the country. The BJP MLAs gave a befitting reply…BJP raised their voice to uphold nationalism, to support the PM of the country and Indian armed forces, and oppose the targeted killings of Hindus.”

Adhikari said, “TMC party extends full support to terrorism and extremists…People of Mamata Banerjee’s party are turning Bengal into a valley of extremists and are protecting them.”

Speaking over resolution on Operation Sindoor which was brought in West Bengal Assembly, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said , “Operation Sindoor was not mentioned purposefully. While doing vote bank politics and appeasing the 33% Muslim votebank, Mamata Banerjee deliberately deleted Operation Sindoor’s name from today’s resolution. PM Modi, under whose leadership this attack was executed, was not mentioned anywhere deliberately. That is the question we raised – on one side, the CM is extending great respect to Armed Forces but on the other hand she questioned Armed Forces at the time of Pulwama and Balakot…When we questioned her over this today, she was furious and stooped to making personal attacks on me. She said I am a fashion designer and humiliated me. But I am a proud fashion designer and I have been doing this for the last 23 years. She is not insulting me but also the workers in my industry. When Mamata Banerjee has no points to make and can’t respond, she resorts to making personal attacks.”
