Begusarai: Shiv Shakti Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Begusarai Municipal Corporation, married his niece, Sajal Sindhu, on August 14 at Katyayani Mandir in Khagaria, Bihar. The couple has faced backlash from their families, with Sajal Sindhu defending their decision, asserting that their love is not a crime. Sindhu claims their families are harassing them and creating obstacles in both their personal lives and Shiv Shakti’s job.

Couple Defends Relationship Against Family Backlash

In a video, Sajal explained, “Falling in love is a personal choice. No one has the right to interfere.” She also dismissed an FIR filed against them by the Vaishali administration as false. According to Sajal, their families have been actively trying to disrupt their marriage and Shiv Shakti’s career.

A Love Story Years in the Making

Sajal shared details of their relationship, which began in 2015 when they met in Varanasi. She attended Central Hindu Girls School, while Shiv Shakti was pursuing his postgraduate studies. Their bond, which started as friendship, gradually turned into love. The couple’s ancestral homes are in the same village, Manua, in Bihar’s Hajipur district.
