Batala Firing: Two Including Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s Mother Shot Dead In Punjab, Incident Caught On Cam

According to initial reports, Karanvir Singh died on the spot after unidentified assailants opened fire on Scorpio vehicle. Harjit Kaur, who was travelling in the same vehicle sustained critical injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Amritsar.

A shocking incident of firing has come to light from Kadia road in Batala on Thursday, resulting in the death of two individuals. The victims have been identified as Karanvir Singh, son of Prem Singh, a resident of Bhikhowal under Ghuman Kalan police station, and Harjit Kaur, a resident of Bhagwanpur, who is reportedly the mother of notorious gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.

Harjit Kaur, who was travelling in the same vehicle sustained critical injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Amritsar. However, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

What Did Police Say?

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Batala, Paramveer Singh, stated that upon receiving the information, the team immediately rushed to the spot. One youth was found dead on the spot, while another woman was seriously injured, who was referred to Amritsar. While it is suspected that the woman is the mother of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, DSP Singh didn’t confirm it.

The DSP added that the father of the deceased man is an ASI in the police and the deceased Harjeet Kaur is his relative. A case has been registered against unknown people based on the statement of his father.

Doctor of the government hospital also confirmed that a man with bullet wounds and an injured woman were brought to the hospital. He added that the woman was referred to Amritsar. Further investigation into the case is underway.
