Uttar Pradesh is the fourth largest state in terms of area wise. The construction for the Bareilly-Badaun highway which will connect Bareilly to Mathura is going at a good pace.
The National Highway Authority of India has finished the tender process for the four lane route between Badaun and Bareilly. This will be as a part of fourth phase of construction. The company L1 from Haryana has emerged as the front runner for the contract by submitting the lowest bid for it.
A total of Rs 695 crore is to be spent on this project. For the construction of 38.50-Km project, Rs 270 crore will be used for the land acquisition process. And Rs 837 crore will be used for the construction work.
As per National Highway Authority of India, it is necessary for the 80% land acquisition to start the development work. For now 40% land has been acquired.
Once the contract get finalized, it takes total 5 months for the company to begin with the work.
As per media reports, the target has been put to complete the construction work of the route within two years. The NHAI and the district administration are together boosting up the land acquisition work.
This will solve the traffic related issue and make the travel smoother for the commuters.
