Baramulla Encounter: Two terrorists have been killed by security forces in Wanigam Payeen Kriri area of Baramulla. According to Kashmir Zone Police, search operation is going on in the area. Police said that incriminating material, arms and ammunition including 01 AK 47 rifle and a pistol were recovered from the slain terrorists.
ADGP Kashmir said that both the slain are local terrorists belonging to terrorist organization Lashkar. Both have been identified as Shakir Majid Nazar and Hanan Ahmed Sheh of Shopian district. Both had joined the terrorist organization in the month of March 2023.

Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “Encounter has started in Wanigam Payeen Kriri area of Baramulla. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details will be given. A police officer monitoring the operation confirmed that two terrorists have been killed in the ongoing encounter. The officer said a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Kreeri during the night after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
He said that “as the joint team of security forces moved towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the search party, retaliated and the encounter started. Let us inform that earlier on Wednesday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
