NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead on Saturday evening in Bandra East. He was a prominent political figure in Maharashtra and had a career spanning over 46 years. Siddique took his last breath at the age of 66 in Lilavati Hospital where he was declared dead.
Just two days before his untimely tragic death, Siddique had posted about legendary industrialist Ratan Tata’s demise. In his post on Instagram, he had called Ratan Tata’s demise as an end of an Era.
He had posted Ratan Tata’s picture and captioned it “End of an Era.” Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group, Ratan Tata had passed away on October 9.

His last post on Instagram has been flooded with heartfelt tribute messages by the people. Users have written ‘RIP Baba Siddique,’ ‘We will miss both of you RIP,’ and asked for his highest place in ‘jannah.’ One user called it ‘Great loss for Mumbai’s people’.
Mumbai Police On Action
NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra. According to Mumbai Crime Branch, a total of 6 rounds of bullets were fired at Baba Siddique, out of which 3 bullets hit Baba Siddique. It also stated that the third accused has been identified and would be arrested soon.
Police arrested the two accused yesterday who were identified as Karnail Singh from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh. They informed that assailants had done thorough recce of Baba Siddiqui’s house and office premises. They were in Mumbai for one and a half to two months and were keeping an eye on him.
Baba Siddique will be buried with full state full state honours in Mumbai, as announced by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.
