Udhayanidhi’s response
Responding to this highly distressing video, Udhayanidhi expressed his disbelief and questioned the authenticity of the seer’s intentions. He remarked, “Today, a swamy (seer) announced a Rs 10 crore bounty for my head. Is he a real saint or a duplicate one? Why do you value my head so much? Where is this abundant wealth coming from? Why offer Rs 10 crore to comb my hair? I can do that myself if you give me a Rs 10 comb.”
Minister stands by his statement
Despite the mounting controversy and threats, Udhayanidhi remains steadfast in his stance on ‘Sanatana Dharma.’ He reiterated that his statements were not meant to target the Hindu community but rather to express his perspective on the concept. He stressed that ‘Sanatana Dharma’ represents something permanent and unchanging.
Udhayanidhi also emphasized the positive aspects of his party’s ideology, stating that it has played a role in empowering women and providing education, especially to girls, in the state of Tamil Nadu.
