Allegations of Forcible Removal
The CMO accused Lt Governor Vinai Saxena of “forcibly removing” Atishi’s belongings from the official residence “at the behest of the BJP.” The office has stated that this is the first instance in the country’s history where a Chief Minister’s residence was vacated in such a manner.

Lack of Proper Handover Procedures
Visuals from the scene revealed cartons and luggage being taken out of the residence, which has reportedly been secured with a double lock. Sources noted that proper paperwork regarding the handover of keys to the Public Works Department (PwD) had not been completed.
Transition of Residences
Atishi moved into bungalow number 6 on Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines, North Delhi, on Monday, shortly after her predecessor, Arvind Kejriwal, vacated the property. However, hours later, the BJP asserted that the bungalow had not yet been handed over to the PwD for a fresh allocation.
Awaiting Response from Lt Governor’s Office
As of now, the office of the Lt Governor has not responded to the allegations made by the Delhi Chief Minister’s Office, leaving the situation unresolved and tensions heightened.
