Counting is underway for 13 assembly seats across seven states of India, namely, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. Voting took place on 13 seats on July 10, a month after the Lok Sabha results were declared on June 4.
Notably, these are the first polls after general elections and the litmus test for the BJP that starved to touch the majority mark. Stay tuned for LIVE updates.
In the 13 assembly constituency bypolls, Congress and TMC each won four seats, while DMK and AAP secured one seat each, totaling 10 wins for INDIA Bloc parties. The BJP won two seats, and an independent candidate claimed one.

Anniyur Siva of the DMK has secured a decisive victory in the Vikravandi by-elections, defeating the NDA ally Pattali Makkal Katchi's candidate, C. Anbumani, by a margin of 67,757 votes
In Punjab's Jalandhar West constituency, AAP's Mohinder Bhagat won against his closest competitor, Congress nominee Surinder Kaur, by a margin of 37,325 votes

After the interesting counting of 12 rounds, the independent candidate Shankar Singh defeated the JDU candidate Kaladhar Mandal by approximately 8,000 votes. Bima Bharti had to manage on the third position.
After winning the Dehra constituency in Himachal Pradesh, Congress takes another leap and gets the Nalagarh seat. BJP has the Hamirpur seat in its kitty.

The margin between the independent candidate and the JDU candidate stretches from 1763 votes to 4239 votes in the ninth round of counting for the Rupauli constituency.
Eight rounds of counting have happened so far for the Rupauli constituency and independent candidate Shankar Singh leads by 1763 votes over the JDU candidate.
TMC registers another win in its kitty with Bagdah. Its contestant Madhuparna Thakur has defeated BJP's Binay Kumar by a huge margin of 30,000 votes.
TMC has bagged its first victory in West Bengal by winning Raiganj with its contender Krishna Kalyani. The party has already taken the lead on the remaining 3 constituencies.

The BJP has bagged Hamirpur whereas the Congress grabbed the Dehra constituency in Himachal. Counting continues for Nalagarh where Congress has already taken a decent lead.

CM Sukku's wife Kamlesh Thakur takes the lead over BJP's contender Hoshyar Singh in the Dehra constituency whereas BJP's candidate Ashish Sharma has left behind INC's Pushpinder Verma on the Hamirpur seat.
Congress is also leading on the Nalagarh seat. Counting is still underway.

AAP candidate Mohinder Bhagat won the constituency by defending the BJP contender Sheetal Angural by a margin of over 37,000 votes. Congress remained at the third spot.
