Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma has announced to host the largest ‘Bihu Show’ on the 14th of April in Sarusajai Sports Complex, Guwahati.
11,000 dancers will perform the ‘Bihu Dance’ in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create a Guinness world record. Governors and Chief Ministers of many states along with diplomats of G20 and ASEAN countries will be invited to these mega-events.
“We’re gearing up to host the largest Bihu show on April 14 at Sarusajai Sports Complex where 11,000 dancers will perform to create a new Guinness World Record before PM Modi. We will invite all Governors, CMs and diplomats of G20 & ASEAN countries,” said Assam’s CM.

The Assam Government will organise a 7-day long Rongali Bihu event in Rang Ghar and Sarusajai Stadium next year.
As per News Agency ANI report, Hemanta Biswa Sarma said, ” From next year, Assam Govt will organise Rongali Bihu at Rang Ghar and Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati for 7 days. State Govt will provide Rs 1.5 lakhs to each Bihu Committees holding Bihu for the past 10 years. I appeal to Bihu Committees not to resort to force for donations.”
