Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that he constituted a committee to frame rules for student elections in colleges and universities. Interacting with the media, he informed that time had come to a reassessment of the system. "Be it hostile sentiment or losing or winning an election, I have noticed that after the election in college & University, there is chaos in the environment. We may change or not change the system but the time has come to do a reassessment of the system. We have constituted a committee with Professor Nani Gopal Mahanta to discuss if we have to reassess the election procedure, also whether the Lyngdoh Committee re-assessment is required or not," Siad Himanta Biswa Sharma.
