Arvind Kejriwal gets no relief from the Delhi court yet again. The judicial custody of the Delhi Chief Minister along with BRS leader K Kavitha has been extended till May 7 for alleged involvement in the multi-crore liquor scam case.

This decision from the Rouse Avenue court comes a day after the plea of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal to seek a daily video consultation from his family doctor was rejected. In the plea, he had sought a 15-minute video consultation with the doctor in the presence of his wife Sunita Kejriwal citing his acute diabetes and fluctuating blood sugar level.
The court in its ruling on April 22 directed to constitution of a board of doctors including from AIIMS to assess the chief minister’s health conditions. ED had alleged that Kejriwal was deliberately consuming pooris and mangoes that would spike his sugar level to which Abhishek Mani Singhvi replied – Mangoes have been made to look like sugar bullets.

On April 23, after the prescription from the doctors of AIIMS, Arvind Kejriwal was given insulin. This is the first time that the AAP leader has been given a dose of insulin since his arrest. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 by ED after a brief interrogation in the Delhi excise policy case.
