Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has taken a significant step by filing a petition in the Supreme Court, requesting an extension of the interim bail period. In the petition, he demands a prolongation of his bail by 7 days. Kejriwal argues that since his arrest on March 21st, during which he remained in jail until May 10th, he has experienced a weight loss of 7 kg and an increase in his ketone levels, indicating potentially serious health issues. Therefore, he seeks permission for medical examinations, including a PET-CT scan and other tests at Max Hospital. He emphasizes that extending his bail period will facilitate proper diagnosis and treatment of his health concerns while being outside of jail, ensuring satisfaction for his family regarding his well-being.
