New Delhi: Ahead of the grand Opposition meeting in Bengaluru tomorrow, the city has been donned with posters of leaders who will attend the gathering to unite against the Narendra Modi-led central govenment.
Amid these posters, there were the one of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. This comes after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha informed that the Congress has announced “unequivocal opposition to the Delhi Ordinance.”
On being asked about his Twitter post regarding Congress support, AAP leader Chadha said that further details on the matter will be released after a meeting of PAC will conclude.

Earlier in the day, Congress leader KC Venugopal had also cleared his party’s stand on Delhi ordinance rolled out by the Centre relating to control over bureaucrats. He said the Indian National Congress (INC) will continue to oppose Centre’s endevours to “sabotage federalism.”
“We are consistently opposing the attempts of the Union government to sabotage federalism. We are consistently opposing the attitude of the central government to run the opposition states through the governors. Our stand is very clear, we are not going to support the Delhi ordinance,” he told the news agency PTI.
Raghav Chadha calls it a Positive Development
This appears to be a “positive dedvelopment” to AAP as mentioned by party leader Raghav Chadha in his tweet. With this, all the speculations have been put on end for now, wondering if Arvind Kejriwal would attend the Opposition meeting or not.
In previous meeting, the Congress did not take up the matter in the meeting regarding its support to the Delhi Ordinance, which made everyone skeptical if AAP and Congress relationship would affect the Opposition’s strength in 2024 Lok Sabha General Elections.
Opposition Meeting
The Opposition meeting is a hot-boiling topic in the nation for now, considering that a number of Opposition parties from states came along with the motive to remove BJP-led government.
Faces of CPIM(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation leader Dipankar Bhattacharya and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav among others were seen on the posters.
