Arunachal Shocker: 60-Year-Old Man Arrested For Allegedly Raping A Child

It has come to light that the girl child had been complaining of pain in her private parts to her mother. An enquiry into the matter revealed the disturbing incident.

Arunachal Pradesh: In a shocking incident that emerged on Sunday, a 60-year-old man was arrested from Seppa Town in East Kameng district for allegedly raping a child. According to the Arunachal Times report, a complaint was filed at the Police Station by the 5-year-old victim girl’s mother on May 17 against the accused. She alleged that her daughter was sexually assaulted between May 13 and 15 in New Seppa Town.

Victim Sustains Injuries In Her Private Parts

It has come to light that the girl child had been complaining of pain in her private parts to her mother. An enquiry into the matter revealed the disturbing incident. It is also alleged that the 60-year-old accused had threatened the victim with dire consequences if she told her family about the incident. As per the latest update, the child is currently undergoing medical treatment after sustaining serious injuries in her private parts.

Accused Was A Close Relative

It is also learnt that the man is a close relative of the child. According to the East Kameng SP, Kamdam Sikom, a case is registered under BNS 2023 Section 65(2) (Punishment for rape) against the accused, Nisham Taku. He is charged with Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
