In the morning, we found out what had happened. He was hit by a car so badly that his bike was completely destroyed, and he suffered injuries to his chest…” “We want appropriate action to be taken… My brother has five children, and he was the sole breadwinner in the family,” he added.
Police have found empty liquor bottles from inside the vehicle, which has further deepened the suspicion that the driver was drunk.
The driver of the SUV fled from the spot after the accident. The police have launched a search for him. A senior official said that footage from CCTV cameras installed near the accident spot is being scanned and the owner is being identified through the vehicle’s registration details.
