The ISKCON Temple in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh received a bomb threat through an e-mail on Sunday. Following the threat mail, security of the temple was heightened. Bomb squad and dog squad were deployed for search operation at the temple premises, but no suspicious item was recovered.
According to the police, staff of the ISKCON temple had received threat mail on October 27 and it claimed that a terrorist group would blow up the temple. Police have launched investigation into the case.
Hotels Receive Bomb Threat
Two prominent hotels in Tirupati received bomb threats on October 26, which were considered as hoax threat by the police after search operation. The management had received an e-mail which claimed that bomb was planted on their premises.
The threat email mentioned, “Due to the impact created by Jaffer Sadiq of DMK’s arrest in the drug case, TN DGP Shankar Jiwal IPS has paired with Pak ISI cells in Coimbatore to carry out these blasts in order to divert attention from Mrs. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi Chettiar.”
“Evacuate premise and call BDSS (Disposal Squad) to defuse IEDs. Contact Mr. PV Kalyanasundaram of DMK Arivalayam and for a Pink Envelope we’ve sent him with videos of our story as well as DMK family involvement. Afzal Guru will be re-born! Al-Badr! Only the BDSS has left IEDs in school premises in the name of checking!”
Meanwhile, there have been continued series of threat mails sent to domestic and international flights.
