Andhra Pradesh Shocker: Medical Student Allegedly Dies by Suicide, Found Hanging In Hostel Room

In Andhra Pradesh, a medical student was found dead in a hostel room, suspected of having committed suicide.

A 23-year-old medical student allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself in a hostel in Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Police said the deceased has been identified as R. Sai Ram, a student of Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

According to police, when his roommate approached him, he found that Ram allegedly hanged himself inside his hostel room. Later, his roommate alerted the hostel warden, and cops were informed. Police investigated the crime scene and sent his body for post-mortem.

Police said no suicide note has been recorded from the spot, and the reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Ram hailed from a small village near Narasapuram in West Godavari district. Police registered a case under Section 194 of BNS, and further investigation is underway.
