A shocking incident has come to light from Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh, where a couple died by suicide after consuming pesticide. The couple took this step after discovering their son’s relationship with a transgender. Reportedly, the couple had failed to convince their son to end his relationship with transgender. The incident took place at SBI colony in Nandyal district headquarters. The deceased were identified as Subba Rayudu and Saraswati.
As per reports, their son, Sunil who was working as auto driver after completing B Tech fell in love with transgender identified as, Smitha about three years ago.
What Went Wrong?
Upon learning about Sunil’s relationship with the transgender, the couple warned him several times and asked to end his relationship. They tried to get him married to a girl of their choice, but Sunil turned down the proposal. He made it clear to his parents that he loves Smitha and will marry her only. The couple even took their son to the police station for counselling after hearing his decision.
However, Sunil refused to change his decision to marry Smitha. The disheartened parents felt humiliated at the police station and decided to end their lives. They consumed poison about two days ago. They were rushed to the hospital immediately, but the couple passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital on Wednesday.
Police said that no case was registered on this matter as they didn’t receive any complaint. However, some locals stated that a group of transgenders known to Smitha had visited the couple. They harassed the couple in the pretext of a loan taken by their son, Sunil.
