Amrita Hospital: PM Modi inaugurates Asia’s largest private hospital in Faridabad
Faridabad: The city of Faridabad in Haryana has got a big gift in the medical field in the form of Amrita Hospital on Wednesday. This hospital has been constructed by Mata Amritanandamayi Mission Trust and is claimed to be the largest private sector hospital in Asia.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Amrita Hospital on Wednesday. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was also present on the occasion.
Features of Amrita Hospital:
- The hospital built in Sector-88 of Faridabad will have 2600 beds.
- The first phase will start with facilities for 550 beds.
- It will have all major medical facilities, in which 81 special medical facilities will be made available including Cardiac Science, Neuro Science, Gastro Science, Renal, Trauma Transplant, Mother and Child Care.
- After the PM Modi's inauguration on August 24, this hospital will start with 550 beds from Thursday.
Number of beds will be 1,000 in 5 years
According to Dr. Sanjeev K Singh, Resident Medical Director of the hospital, with the blessings of Amma i.e. Mata Amritanandamayi, after two years the number of beds in the hospital will increase to 750 and in five years to 1000 beds. This will also include 534 critical care beds. Then expanding it step by step, a 2600-bed hospital will be dedicated to the public.
People of Delhi-NCR will benefit
If the claims of the hospital management are to be believed, then it will be the largest and most modern hospital not in the country but in the whole of Asia. The people of Delhi-NCR will be benefited the most by the opening of this hospital, who will get modern treatment facilities when needed.
According to Medical Director Sanjeev Singh, there are already 11 big hospitals run by the trust and the biggest of these is 1350 bed hospital in Kochi. Now it will be a 2600 bedded hospital.
Regarding the treatment at concessional rates to the needy, the Medical Director said that free medical facilities are provided to the needy and poor section in various hospitals across the country, but before that it is checked that what is the background of the concerned and whether it is really He needs There is also an internal audit of the hospital, in which what medicines the doctors prescribe, it is also monitored.
