Amrit Bharat Station Yojana: Transforming 1300+ Railway Stations Into Modern Hubs Of Culture, Comfort, And Connectivity

These railway stations are being hailed as the beginning of a new chapter in Indian Railways infrastructure. The initiative aims to create stations that are clean, comfortable, and user-friendly.

Indian Railways is witnessing a change in the form of the inclusion of new facilities. One such term that comes out is the Amrit Bharat Station. Work is being done to beautify the stations. This process is being carried out under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Yojana’.

What Is Amrit Bharat Station?

These railway stations are being hailed as the beginning of a new chapter in Indian Railways infrastructure. The initiative aims to create stations that are clean, comfortable, and user-friendly. The design includes visually appealing entry and exit gates, spacious and comfortable waiting areas, hygienic restrooms, and fully covered platforms for the convenience of passengers.

Prime Minister in a public address said, “Amrit Bharat Stations are new symbols of local art and culture. Like Mandalgarh Railway Station, Rajasthani art and culture will be seen. Similarly, the thousands of years old heritage of India will be seen at every Amrit Station.”

PM Modi also mentioned, “Work is underway on the country’s first #BulletTrain project. Along with this, more than 1300 railway stations are also being modernized. The country has named these stations as Amrit Bharat Station. Today, more than 100 of these stations have been completed.”
