New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit on Wednesday announced that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be holding mega rallies in the union territory. The BJP’s in-charge of Kahmir affair Sunil Sharma informed that Amit Shah will be addressing two mega rallies in Rajouri and Baramulla districts on October 1 and 2 respectively.
Shah to hold 2 mega rallies
Amit Shah will be arriving in the afternoon Jammu on September 30. On October 1 he is scheduled to address a mega rally in Rajouri district. On the same day he will arrive in Kashmir. On the next day he will address a mega rally Baramulla. The people from across the valley are being said to participate in the event.
“Shah will talk about several issues with the people of Kashmir in the rally and will also highlight various things regarding development in Jammu and Kashmir and what central government is doing on various fronts for the development of J&K,” Sharma said.
Reservations might be announced
Sharma further informed that Shah will inaugurate many developmental works. He will also lay foundation stones of many other projects. It also includes a cancer hospital which is planned by Waqf board in downtown Srinagar.
He also said that there is chance that Shah may announce some reservations for Pahadi community or OBC. He said around 23 communities are fighting for reservation in Kashmir.
BJP is always ready for elections
Replying to a question, Sharma said that it is the prerogative of the Election Commission of India to make announcement about holding elections in Jammu and Kashmir but that BJP is always ready for elections here.
