Amit Shah Arrives in Kashmir Valley During His Three-Day Visit, Honors Martyr DSP

He was warmly welcomed at Srinagar Airport by the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah.

The Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, arrived in the picturesque Kashmir Valley this evening as part of his three-day visit to the Union Territory. He was warmly welcomed at Srinagar Airport by the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah.

Shortly after his arrival, Shah paid tribute to the bravery of the late Jammu and Kashmir Police DSP, Humayun Muzamil Bhat, who was tragically killed during an anti-terrorist operation in the Anantnag district in 2023. The Home Minister visited the family of the martyred officer, who is remembered for his exemplary courage and dedication to duty, being the son of a retired Inspector General of Police.

Following his visit to the Bhat family, Amit Shah proceeded to Raj Bhawan in Srinagar, where he will spend the night. His itinerary includes meetings with various delegations and top government officials to discuss pressing security matters and developmental projects in the region.

Tomorrow, Shah is set to chair a crucial security meeting in Srinagar before concluding his visit and returning to Delhi.
