Delhi Mayor Election:  The election of Mayor for Municipal Corporation of Delhi is postponed again . The meeting called to elect the mayor has been postponed to the next date. Presiding Officer Satya Sharma said that AAP MLAs Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and Sanjeev Jha have been convicted by the court, so they do not have the right to vote in the House.  Presiding officer asked Both of them to leave the house, but they did not obey the order. Then, the presiding officer said that in order to maintain the dignity of the municipal corporation House, the election of the Mayor is postponed till the next date.

AAP accused BJP

After the meeting of the house was adjourned, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj accused the BJP,  he said  ‘the BJP is violating the MCD's constitution and want to rule the Municipal Corporation of Delhi illegally.’ He stated that we have no information about the old order of the High Court that the BJP is citing. He further said  ‘We will go to the Supreme Court against the same.’ After completion of MCD election,  the meeting to elect the mayor was called twice on January 6 and January 24, but due to uproar and in house tussle by Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party corporators, the presiding officer adjourned the proceedings without holding the election of the mayor.
