New Delhi: The Punjab Police Sunday took arrested four members of ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit and took them to Dibrugarh in Assam. Responding to which, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said it is a “police-to-police cooperation.’

The news agency PTI quoted a source who informed that the four aides of the radical group has been kept in the Dibrugarh central jail.

Talking to media person, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that they had also sent a few people to Bihar for security purpose in similar incident.

This comes a day after the Punjab Police launched a major cordon and search operations (CASO)” in the state against elements of the ‘Waris Punjab De’.

Following the raids, the police arrested 78 members of the outfit while detaining many for interrogatin.

Amid the chaos, ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh was ran seen running away on a bike. A major manhunt programme has been launched in order to nab Amritpal Singh.
