Amarnath Yatra 2025: Registration Open Across 533 Bank Branches; Important Guidelines To Keep In Mind

To facilitate devotees, the registrations will take place at 533 bank branches across the country. The list comprises of Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, J&K bank and Yes bank across the country, stated the officials.

If you are planning to undertake Amarnath Yatra 2025, then you must note that registration process for it has begun across the country. The advance registration process for the Amarnath Yatra 2025, one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimages, commenced on April 14. Both offline and online registrations have begun. Visuals showed huge queues of people waiting to register in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. To facilitate devotees, the registrations will take place at 533 bank branches across the country. The list comprises of Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, J&K bank and Yes bank across the country, stated the officials.

The Yatra, which draws thousands of devotees from across India, will commence on July 3 and conclude on August 9, 2025. The pilgrimage will last for approximately 45 days. To participate in the Amarnath Yatra 2025, devotees should first complete the registration process, which can be done either online or offline. The pilgrimage to the Holy Cave of Amarnath involves trekking at altitudes as high as 14,800 feet. This sacred journey leads to the Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir, where a natural ice Shiva Lingam forms annually.

Registration Open Across 533 Bank Branches

Anil Sharma, Circle Head, PNB Circle Jammu stated that registration for this Yatra is being done at almost 309 branches of the PNB across the country. Applications will be accepted upon successful Aadhaar authentication, completion of e-KYC and submission of mandatory health certificate issued by medical institutions and doctors permitted by the Shrine Board.

“Daily quota for both routes have been designated, exceeding that, daily-wise registration will not be done. For Yatra on any particular date, registration will close 8 days prior… The Shrine Board is taking charges of Rs 150 per registration,” Sharma told ANI.

Notably, besides PNB, registration is being done at SBI, Yes Bank, J&K Bank – a total of 533 designated branches combined.

He further specified the rules and regulations for the yatra. He added that no pregnant women, people below 13 years and above 70 years would be allowed for the yatra, even if they had a medical certificate.

Amarnath Yatra 2025: Important dates

  • Amarnath Yatra Starts: 3 July 2025
  • Amarnath Yatra Ends: 9 August 2025
  • Registration Begins: 14 April 2025

Registration Process:

Devotees can Fill Application Form online, Verify OTP Received, Application Processing and SMS Sent to Applicant, Pay Application Fees Online, Pay Application Fees Online.

Important Guidelines To Keep In Mind

Devotees should keep the following points in their mind while registering for the Yatra.

Medical certificate should be issued by doctor/hospital authorised in your state.

Photo file should be – .JPEG or .JPG only and size should not be more than 1MB.

Medical certificate should be scanned and uploaded in .PDF format only while registering. Size should not be more than 1MB.

Persons with age below 13 years and above 70 years are not allowed.

Pregnant women with more than 6 weeks of pregnancy are not allowed.

Carry your original Photo ID and Medical Certificate with you during the yatra.
