Alinagar Assembly Election Result 2025 Live Updates: Singer-turned-BJP candidate Maithili Thakur, leading from Alinagar in the Bihar elections, called her early lead “like a dream.” He also pledged to work tirelessly for her constituency.
Speaking to ANI, Thakur said, “This feels like a dream. People have placed so much trust in me. This will be my first term as an MLA, and I will do my best for the constituency. I will serve my people as their daughter. Right now, my focus is only on Alinagar and how I can work for them.”
Alinagar is about 38 km east of Darbhanga town and 145 km north of Patna. The voters in Alinagar are mainly Brahmins, Yadavs, and Muslims. It is a general category Assembly constituency. Alinagar is part of the Darbhanga Lok Sabha seat. The constituency includes Alinagar, Tardih, Ghanshyampur blocks, and Motipur panchayat.

In the 2015 elections, RJD’s Abdul Siddiqui had defeated Mishri Lal Yadav, who then contested on a BJP ticket, by 13,460 votes.
