She had lodged complaints against her in-laws and a chargesheet was filed. Hemlata with her son went to the Khair police station for resolution in the matter of property dispute. The other party i.e. her in-laws also reached where police proposed giving the victim a house at some other place as a negotiation and resolution of the matter. Thereafter, both parties discussed cash which didn’t reach to a mutual consensus.
After the disagreement, Hemlata came out with her son and within the police station premises, the latter poured kerosene oil on her. When police officials saw it, they came and tried to stop him but he managed to light his lighter and put it on the victim.
As per the inputs by SSP, Aligarh, they wanted to use this incident against the other party i.e. in-laws of Hemlata, to get the desired property.
