Aligarh Shock: BJP-Voting Muslim Woman Faces Triple Talaq, Police Station Silent

In Aligarh, UP, a woman claims her husband divorced her via triple talaq for voting BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. She has been seeking justice for two months without success. She has now filed a complaint at the tehsil office, hoping for resolution.

A shocking incident has come to light from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. A Muslim woman was divorced solely because she voted for BJP. The woman told that she voted for BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, and upon her husband's return home, he immediately divorced her. Now, for the past two months, the woman has been wandering in search of justice. Asiya, a resident of Sunpehar Edalpur, got married on April 7, 2021, with Sevan Miyan from Barauli. Asiya mentioned that during the wedding, her parents also gave a dowry of approximately 8 lakh 50 thousand rupees. Asiya alleges that her husband Sevan Miyan was already married before and deceitfully married her. Asiya stated that on June 26, while returning home with her brother after casting her vote, her husband Sevan Miyan met her on the way with his brothers. He asked her whom she had voted for, to which she replied that she had voted for the BJP. Upon hearing this, Sevan Miyan became furious and asked, "Didn't you vote for the Samajwadi Party?" At that moment, Sevan's brothers Shabbu and Saadan, who were with him, told him to divorce her. In response, Sevan Miyan uttered "talaq-talaq-talaq" three times and left from there. However, she hasn't received any hearing yet. Now, she has lodged a complaint about it in the tehsil office.
