New Delhi: A hybrid terrorist belonging to proscribed terror outfit Al Badr was held in Batamaloo area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday, informed the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The terrorist named Afrat Yusuf, a resident of Pulwama’s Rajpora, was apprehended with a Glock Pistol, 20 live rounds and 2 magazines. The Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that the accused was involved in terror activities in Pulwama already.

As per the information receieved to the police, Yusuf came to Srinagar for the same reason. However, the police acted upon specific intelligence to nab the accused and made the arrest before he could harm anyone by executing any terror attack.
He has been booked under FIR 94/2023 U/s 13,23 of UAPA & 7/25 of IA Act at Batmaloo Police Station.
Prior Involvement in Terror Activities
Upon investigating the matter, it was found out that the man was indulged in throwing grenades twice at security forces. First, he threw stone at a CRPF Vehicle in Rajpora and then at the CRPF/RR Camp at Hawal, Rajpora Pulwama.
The accused was also found to be allegedly indulged in a case related to putting up posters of Lone wolf warrior on March 26 and March 10 this year.
