Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav hit out at Centre and the state government, saying the BJP government is hatching conspiracy to snatch reservation, Constitutional rights and employment in the name of Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
Threat to rights of Dalit, and Backward classes
Akhilesh Yadav said Constitutional rights given by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar to Dalits and backward classes would be taken away.
Akhilesh said, “ In the name of SIR, the government is preparing to take away the rights of Dalits, Tribes and Backward class people. He said the Centre would also snatch jobs and reservation.”
Unemployment and inflation are at their peak
Akhilesh Yadav raised questions on the government’s economic policies. He said unemployment and inflation are at their peak, and people are facing numerous problems for their survival. He said youths have no employment and it is the biggest challenge before the nation.
Election Commission: political parties are unnecessarily spreading fear about SIR
The Election Commission said the political parties are needlessly spreading fear about SIR exercise.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing on multiple petitions challenging the constitutional validity of the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls to December 2.
Earlier, the Supreme Court sought the Election Commission’s response on a plea filed by Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) founder Vaiko, challenging the decision to undertake the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Tamil Nadu.
Several other parties, including the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), have also moved to the apex court against the SIR exercise in the state.
