Maharashtra Politics: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other rebel NCP MLAs of his faction on Monday will meet party supremo Sharad Pawar for the second consecutive day at YB Chavan.
However, NCP chief Sharad Pawar will also reach YB Chavan Centre shortly.

Earlier, National spokesperson of NCP, Mahesh Tapase announced that Pawar and NCP national spokesperson Supriya Sule will skip the today’s opposition meeting. On the other hand, they will attend meeting on the second day i.e. July 18.
Taking the matter to Twitter, Tapase wrote, “Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule will participate in the Opposition meeting tomorrow, 18th July…”

The two day opposition meeting in Bengaluru is aimed to chalk out the common strategy to dethrone the Narendra Modi led – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Centre in the upcoming lok sabha elections 2024. A total of 26 political parties will participate in the meeting.
On June 23, the first opposition meeting was held in Patna, during which 17 parties decided to fight unitedly in the upcoming lok sabha elections to defeat the saffron party.
Addressing the meeting post four-hour opposition party meeting, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informed that the leaders of all the 17 parties will again hold a meeting in the near future to chalk out the final strategy for election.
Kumar said that the meeting was successful and several leaders expressed their views, while keeping aside the differences. “17 parties came to the conclusion that they will fight unitedly in the upcoming lok sabha elections,” he added.
