Airport Line Express: Delhi Metro rail authorities are planning to increase the speed of the Delhi Metro’s airport line. If the planning goes well, this initiative will reduce travel time between Indira Gandhi International Airport and New Delhi Railway Station. (Airport Line Express)
The experiment of raising speed of airport metro line has begun. Authorities have started high-speed experiments on the 22-kilometer-long road last year. After a safety check, the Delhi metro rail safety commissioner will approve the speed.
The airport line of the Delhi Metro will be extended to Dwarka Sector 25 and the India International Convention Centre.

The top speed of the Delhi Metro airport line is now 80-85 km/h. Once approved, the speed will increase to 120 kilometres per hour.
After that, the journey from Terminal 3 to New Delhi Train Station will take only 15 minutes.
It will also have an impact on individuals travelling from Noida. Noida Metro is considering connecting the New Delhi Metro Station to the Noida International Airport. The flight time between Noida Airport and Delhi Airport is somewhat more than 60 minutes.
The New Delhi Railway Station is where passengers can disembark and transfer to the airport line.
The airport line’s distance will grow after Dwarka Sector 25 is connected to it.
