Following a missile attack near the airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, Air India has suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv until May 6. The suspension of flight operations has been done in view of the safety concerns after a ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen hit Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday morning, injuring six people. Notably, an Air India flight (AI139) from Delhi to Tel Aviv was diverted to Abu Dhabi on Sunday. It was later confirmed that the attack took place less than an hour before the flight was scheduled to land at Tel Aviv. Moreover, air traffic to the Tel Aviv airport was suspended for a brief time period, after the attack.
