Air India Safety Auditor Found Dead in PG Accommodation in Gurugram

As per police, Sawant was employed as a safety auditor and was living in Gurugram at Gaurav PG in Sector 30 for the past few days.

The Gurugram police on Tuesday said that a flight safety auditor was found dead in his PG accommodation in the city.

According to PTI, the deceased was identified as Prafull Sawant, and he had been staying there for the last few days. The police handed over the body to his family after a postmortem was conducted. The cops also questioned the staff and inmates of the PG as part of the investigation.

As per police, Sawant was employed as a safety auditor and was living in Gurugram at Gaurav PG in Sector 30 for the past few days.

The staff told police that Sawant had breakfast on Monday morning, and when the caretaker called him to inquire about lunch, he did not answer the call.

After several calls went unanswered, the staff went to his room, which was locked from the inside. They called his cell phone, which was ringing, and then informed the police. Later, the police reached the spot and managed to open the door, where Sawant was found dead on the bed.

“No suicide note was found in the room. We have started examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to gather more information about the incident and have also questioned other staff and residents of the PG,” a senior police officer was quoted by PTI as saying.
