Air India Express Flight IX-196 From Dubai Receives Bomb Threat, Lands Safely In Jaipur

An Air India Express flight from Dubai to Jaipur was subjected to a bomb threat via email. After landing safely, security forces conducted a thorough check, finding no suspicious items.

 In the early hours of Saturday an Air India Express flight (IX-196) traveling from Dubai to Jaipur received a bomb threat and was landed safely at Jaipur International Airport. The flight was carrying 189 passengers when it received a threat by an email, which led to immediate security measures.

The aircraft touched down at Jaipur airport at 1:20 am. After conducting thorough checks, the officials confirmed that nothing suspicious was found on board. “A comprehensive search was conducted and we did not discover any dangerous material,” said Jaipur Airport Police SHO Sandeep Basera (ANI) while assuring that all passengers were safe.

Emergency Protocols

The incident highlighted the importance of emergency protocols, which the airport and airlines authorities instantly implemented. It was passed to the flight crew when the aircraft had taken off, which immediately caused an obvious concern over the safety of all passengers on board.

The passengers and crew members were evacuated as standard procedure. The authorities inspected luggage compartments, seating areas of the passengers, and every other section in the plane. Then, teams of bomb disposal accompanied by a unit of the dog inspected the aircraft to see whether there were items that could be a threat. After an hour and a half inspection, officials confirmed that it was all a false alarm.

Air Traffic Disruption

The incident caused temporary disruptions to the airport’s operations. Several flights scheduled to land during the inspection window experienced delays as the airport prioritized safety checks. However, normal operations resumed after security officials gave the all-clear.

Airport authorities expressed gratitude to passengers for their cooperation and assured the public that all necessary safety protocols were in place to prevent future incidents.

Bomb Threat Investigation Underway

Even though no threat materialized, officials have launched a detailed investigation into the source of the email. The cyber crime units are on the job now, tracing the source and intent of the message.

 While the bomb threat caused moments of anxiety, the coordinated efforts of the airline, airport authorities, and security forces ensured that the situation was managed efficiently. The safety of all 189 passengers and crew members was prioritized throughout as the authorities left no stone unturned in the investigation, officials hope to prevent future incidents of this nature from disrupting air travel and public safety.
