Air hostess molestation case: A Swedish man was arrested in Mumbai for allegedly molesting an air hostess onboard an indigo flight from Bangkok, official informed on Saturday. According to police, the accused Klas Eril Harald Jonasm, 63, molested a cabin crew member onboard Mumbai-bound flight from Bangkok.
The Mumbai Police arrested the Swedish man after the airline staff filed a molestation case against the Swedish national on Thursday. The accused was arrested on Thursday and produced before the Andheri Court on Friday. The court granted him bail on the same day, official said.
He molested air-hostess while serving meals. This is not the first case of misbehave in the flight. This is the 8th passenger arrested in India in the last three months, according to officials.
Recently, Mumbai Police booked two passengers flying from Dubai to Mumbai for being drunk and misbehaving with the cabin-crew member.

“Two Indigo flyers have been booked under section 336 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & sections 21,22 and 25 of Aircraft rules for being drunk & misbehaving with the crew. Both were arrested formally but as the sections were bailable, they were granted bail from the police station itself”, DCP Dixit Gedam, Mumbai Police told ANI earlier in the month.
In view of many unwanted and untoward incidents on flights, Air India has revised its in-flight alcohol service policy. Cabin crew is asked to politely refuse additional servings of alcohol if necessary.

According to new modified policy, ‘Alcoholic beverages must be served in an appropriate and safe manner’. This includes refusing to serve alcohol to the guests (further).
In attempt to curb misbehave on flights, the new policy has now been communicated to the crew and incorporated into training curricula. Air India remains dedicated to the safety and well-being of our passengers and cabin crew, including, but not limited to, responsible alcohol service.
