Agra Toddler Crushed: An 18-month-old girl died after a car accidentally hit her in a mall parking lot in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred while the girl’s parents were loading shopping items from a trolley into their car. The toddler ran to the other side of the vehicle and was struck by another car. Doctors pronounced her dead at the hospital.
The Times of India reported that the incident occurred on August 6. Jaideep Thakur, his wife Shivani, their 10-year-old son Rishabh, and their 18-month-old daughter Rudrika went to the mall. Jaideep’s father accompanied them as well.

CCTV footage shows Jaideep and Shweta transferring items from a mall trolley into a bag near their car’s trunk. Their son, Rishabh, and daughter, Rudrika, were playing nearby. Rudrika then moved to the other side and was hit by the front tire of an oncoming car. The car stopped, and her mother ran to pick her up. According to Dainik Bhaskar, Rudrika was taken to Lotus Hospital in the same car, where doctors declared her dead. The car’s driver reportedly fled the scene.
The girl’s grandfather stated that the mall charged a parking fee of Rs 100, but the basement was poorly constructed and lacked security personnel. He also mentioned that the car involved in the incident did not have a parking token.
ACP Aditya Kumar said that the police filed an FIR based on the family’s complaint, charging the driver under Sections 281 (negligent driving) and 106(1) (causing death by negligence). The police are trying to find the driver using the vehicle number.
