Daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, K Kavitha, was supposed to be presented before the ED today, which she skipped citing that as per law, “no woman shall be required to attend as a witness at any place other than the place in which she resides.”
Instead of going down to the ED office, the BRS leader sent her legal representative Soma Bharat Kumar.

“I take pride in representing K Kavitha in this case. Today, I came here with a representation signed by her that ED should follow CrPC 160 and Sec 50 of PMLA Act and they forced her to appear before them in office after 6pm which is against the law.
In a letter submitted to the ED by her legal team, Kavitha mentioned that the case is due for hearing in the Supreme Court on March 24. She said, “the outcome thereof must be awaited before any further proceedings take place with respect to the subject summons”.
