Connaught Place Incident May Have Been Caused By Hacking
The short video clip was removed from the board with the help of officials from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). The NDMC, which oversees the area, suggested that the incident might have been caused by “hacking” using advanced technology, according to PTI.
The NDMC explained that it operates two types of panels in its areas: one for advertisements and another for interactive touchscreens.
The statement said, “Both panels follow international standards and are managed by a secure server with firewall and antivirus protection.” We also offer free hotspots for public use in NDMC areas.” The civic body added that this incident is unique and is working to find out how the firewall was breached.
