The country’s well-known industrialist Gautam Adani is in the news after the allegations leveled by the US Justice Department. These allegations have been made against Gautam Adani by the US Justice Department SEC (Department of Justice) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Reacting on it the Adani Group has completely rejected the allegations.
Meanwhile, Advocate Vijay Aggarwal who is a well known criminal lawyer, spoke on the legal aspects of US prosecutors in the solar energy contract case.
Vijay Aggarwal says as of now he don’t see much. he compared it with two other cases.
Advocate Vijay Aggarwal said that, “In Indian context, compare it with the coal scam cases. Various chargesheets were filed and we all know that one was against the former Prime Minister who was holding the portfolio of Minister of Coal also. What has happened? Nothing. The case has not proceeded. Also, compare it with what is happening in Canada…Has anything happened? No, nothing has happened.”

He said to have a look on the 54-pages indictment which is surfing around. He added that, “You will not be able to connect any dots… So, one has to be very clear that one can comment upon the potency of the same only after looking at the evidence.”
He said that, to recall that in 25 case, he made a statement that it would be good for coffee table book. Same thing is here too. In the starting there will be some media attention to it. This is not happening for the first time, he mentions that we have noticed such type of allegations in number of cases.
Aggarwal said that, “So, you don’t know who is interested in killing the competition, bringing somebody down personally. Somebody wants to have advantage because of the fall in the share price. So, you never know what is the intention.”
Vijay Aggarwal stated that they survived even Hindenburg. He calls it as just another case. Also he calls that a person is called innocent till found guilty.
